INTE 6930 January – “Stay Flexible”

Our district had a scheduled professional development day on January 3.  Originally, the district administration gave our building administration the day to use for PD of their choice.  My administration planned a day of PD that included time for our BL cohort to meet.  Then the district administration decided to take the time back and planned an entire of PD around literacy leaving no time for our BL cohort to meet.  Although I strongly believe in PD around literacy, I was initially pretty irritated because my cohort needed the time to continue planning how we are going to implement our learning.  Fortunately, we have an early release day mid-January and my building administration is giving us time to work together.  Although this was frustrating, I was reminded of Dr. Brent Wilson’s advice when I started this project – stay flexible.  We had to shift our plans but our work continues.  Overall, it shows me how motivated my colleagues are to provide our students with blended learning opportunities.
